1. How can I register my child for camp? You may register and make the $25 deposit online or download the application and send it with a $25 deposit (check) to hold a spot. We will notify you of acceptance and send the additional medical form and other information. Please apply early. If no space is available, we will place your child on a waiting list and if there is no opening by June 1 you may request we refund your deposit. --or contact us by e-mail, phone or snail-mail to request more information and applications.
2. What should my child bring to camp? Clothes for the week--include a light jacket for cool nights, clothing to sleep in, a sleeping bag and pillow, toiletries, a Bible, sunscreen, bug repellent, one-piece bathing suit, two towels, athletic shoes for games socks and shoes that can get wet such as flip-flops or water shoes, inexpensive camera if desired, prescription medication to turn into the camp nurse for distribution. No jewelry, please.
3. What is prohibited? Anything that is not listed above. Counselors will hold any toys, games, electronics, etc. and return to the camper at the end of the week.
4. What is the dress code? Appropriate dress will be t-shirts and athletic, or longer shorts, sports shoes and socks. For cove adventure week, hiking clothing may be worn. Bring enough for the week. Jeans or sweat pants will be appropriate in the evenings. Girls will wear one-piece swimsuits.--ok, so will the guys!!
5. Can you accommodate Special Needs? If you will make clear what the needs are, we can take children who do not require medical care related to the special need.
6. How can I get a discount on the fee if my family cannot afford to pay? Please call or write. We have some donors who will cover a part of the cost in such cases. We will give $10 off each child's fee if two or more children attend from the same family. If you are seeking more help than this regular discount; send a request for a scholarship form. A pastor or social worker must verify your need.
7. My teen thinks they are too old to come as a camper. Can they help out? Yes. See Counselors/Staff page. Cove Adventure and Soccer Camp is for teens--a great time.
8. Do you have a camp store? Yes, we offer snacks for a small fee, some souvenirs, T-shirts, cameras, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap. If you wish for your child to spend money at the camp store, send whatever amount you choose with the camp payment. An account will be created for your child and he/she may spend up to that amount during the week. At the end of the week you may receive the balance or donate it to the missions offering. You may designate a portion for the missions offering at the beginning of the week if you choose. Please do not send any cash with your child to keep track of.
