Volunteers:
Volunteers are welcome during camp to assist with planned activities and to help in kitchen. There is no time requirement and you may serve where you have skills and interest, such as crafts, games, missions, hiking, animal care, etc.
Thanks to New Covenant church, Flat Rock, Alabama; Harrell street Church of God, Trion, Ga, for bringing their dance group; Bro Phil Williams (our camp pastor), Sherry Broome(kitchen), Ann Andrews (missions), Judy Smith (missions), Tootie Williams (Kitchen), -all local; Joan Brogden of TX (kitchen and programs), Kathy Armstrong of Va (Kitchen and programs), Karen Coblentz (Kitchen) of Ohio, Steve and Sharon Walls of Marietta Ga (missions), and Natalie Vinson of Atlanta (missions) for their help during 09 camps.
During the year, we welcome volunteers to help with maintenance and special projects. Work groups from colleges, organizations and churches are encouraged to come, as well as individuals or families. We provide room and board. Groups provide muscle, time, and if possible, materials for the project.
Examples:
- Jerry Smith and his family of RockSprings, Ga is maintaining and adding plants in our memorial prayer garden.
- Bro. Phil, Josh, Kyle and Dick have almost finished the post and rail fence all along the road. Really looks good.
- Three groups from Rosedale Bible College in Ohio built fences, helped restore a staff house, builta fire ring and ampitheatre and cut lots of wood for our wonderful campfires, plus a few other projects.
- Sam Kendall donated and installed shelves in the kitchen
We are grateful to each and every one. Volunteers also help man booths and set up at our various fundraisers. Cindy and Cordell Kingsley, Curtis and Sherry Daniels, Ann Andrews, Judy Smith, David and Bobbie Perra, Scott and Megan Tackett, Derek Jones, Pete and Ramona Moore, Dick Chandler(local), Bill and Susan Rawls from Hoover, Alabama, assisted this year.
