Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome during camp to assist with planned activities and to help in kitchen. Contact us. There is no time requirement and you may serve where you have skills and interest, such as crafts, games, missions, hiking, animal care, etc. Thanks to Nancy and Darryle Waldron of Alabama, Joan Brogden of Texas and Karen Coblentz of Ohio for their help during 07 camps.

During the year, we welcome volunteers to help with maintenance and special projects. Work groups from colleges, organizations and churches are encouraged to come, as well as individuals or families. We provide room and board. Groups provide muscle, time and if possible, materials for the project.  Examples are a family from PA that helped with our memorial prayer garden, three groups from Rosedale Bible College in Ohio built fences, helped restore a staff house, built a fire ring and amphitheatre and cut lots of wood for our wonderful campfires, plus a few other projects. A group from Lancaster Mennonite High School came during their mini-course and helped build a bridge, cleared lots of brush and weeded and replanted in the prayer garden. The youth from Sunrise Community Church in Florida came for a retreat and offered a half day of work--they added finishing touches on the amphitheater, painted trim on the guest house and our sign, started the four-square pad, and constructed a ladder golf game. We are grateful to each and every one.

Volunteers also help man booths and set up at our various fundraisers. Cindy and Cordell Kingsley, Curtis and Sherry Daniels, David and Bobbie Perra, Scott and Megan Tackett, Derek Jones (local), Bill and Susan Rawls from Hoover, Alabama, Dick Chandler from Virginia assisted this year.  Thanks to all.

How can you or your group help?
